BAUMFOLDER Training
Factory Product Training Offered for BAUM Floor Model Folders and now also for the BaumPrint 18
Having made a wise investment in a BAUM machine, investing in the training of operators is a valuable next step. Training is provided by the dedicated people who design and manufacturer these high-performance machines; people who are able to provide superior training for productivity, performance and safety.
Classes are limited in size, and pre-registration is required.
BAUM continues our commitment to quality with our product training schools on our latest model products.
Classes are held at Baumfolder Corporation in Sidney, Ohio, USA, are held from 8:00 am and 5:00 pm EST and include lunch. Other expenses, such as travel, over-night accommodations and additional meals are the responsibility of the participant. Dress is casual and Baumfolder provides all tools needed for the training session.

New Products Training School Course Outline
Folder course will cover the products in our current Folder product line.
Baumfolder BAUM 15 / BAUM 18 / BAUM 20
The course covers installation, setup, operation and troubleshooting of both the floor model pile feeder and the continuous feed models. You will learn how to tension fold rollers for proper feel from side to side, and how to use Baumsets for maintaining the correct roller pressure settings for folding.
Other items covered include:
- Gatefolding, Perforating, Scoring, Slitting, Edge trimming, Wetscoring, Inline Gluing, Inplate Gluing
- Folding in tandem, Right angle folding operations, Rotocrease attachments, Jam detectors
- Marble controller for right angle application
- Other assorted folding applications
Each participant receives a Training Manual to keep that includes a Baumfolder Imposition Manual and many other helpful materials
In depth coverage of the electrical and electronic systems are included with hands-on troubleshooting situations that you will help determine and solve.
BaumPrint EDU Training Course Outline
This course is an End User class designed for Press Operators. Course will cover all aspects of printing with the BaumPrint18 from:
- Basic operation, Maintenance, setting rollers and why
- Importance of Paper cutting, Registration marks, sheet to sheet registration
- Trapping and why it is needed
- Ink tack and lay down order
- Metal plates vs. polyester plates, Plate to blanket squeeze
- Difference between am and fm screening
- LPI, Dot gain, Moiré patterns
- Spray powders, Roller durometers, Fountain solutions, Ink density
- Numbering, Slitting, Perforating
- Running a 2-color and 4-color job
