BAUM Showcases Rotary Scoring/ Slitting and Perforating Solution at Graph Expo 2011
BAUM booth #3217 displayed several new and updated digital feeding and finishing solutions at Graph Expo 2011 including a Solution of: Rotary Scoring to Resolve Cracking— The BAUM 20 Pile Feed folder was shown with the NEW BAUM 20SPS Scoring system that converts a standard BAUM 20 1st station, 2nd station or 3rd station folder into a floor model, scoring, perforating and or slitting machines. The BAUM SPS20 Device has two sets of 1-1/8 inch slitter shafts that are mounted in line with the register table of the folder. This location allows the feeding, registration and scoring, slitting or perforating of light to heavier weight stocks without having to bend the stock through the traditional roller bank of the folder. The design of having two shafts also allows close line to line operations that cannot be achieved on standard machines with a single shaft.
