May 2012 employee service anniversaries recognized

This month we have six employees celebrating their service anniversaries.

On May 3rd Jeff Baum completed 8 years, on the 4th Matt Bertsch with 14 years, and Lynette Boldt completed 4 years on the 5th. On the 11th we had Mike McCabe completing 25 years, and on the 26th Roy Hicks will celebrate 14 years with Baumfolder. Rounding out Mays’ anniversaries we have Janice Benanzer celebrating 33 years here at Baum on the 29th.

BAUM and Binderhaus Partner at DRUPA

BAUM is displaying more equipment than ever at DRUPA 2012 trade fair, which started on May 3^rd and is running through the 16^th in Dusseldorf, Germany. One of the locations that is prominently demonstrating BAUM equipment is Binderhaus GMBH located in hall 14, stand D38. The Binderhaus booth is showing the latest configuration of the BAUM 20IPF feeder connected to an inline creasing machine, with a BAUM CF20 buckle folder and a two-tiered BAUM delivery stacker to complete the efficient ensemble. This provides a complete long run, deep pile feeding, creasing and folding solution for light to heavy weight stocks.

BAUM and Kodak showing New Sheet Feeding Solution At DRUPA

Kodak is showing the latest BAUM 20 IPF sheet staging sheet feeder connected to the NexPress print engine in the Kodak booth F09-1 through -6 in Hall 5.

The latest BAUM deep pile feeder will be showing the capability to feed a 36 inch or 91.5cm long sheet into the NexPress. If you are at DRUPA, be sure to see this new development that can increase the capabilities and add more applications for your imaging needs.

BAUM provides support for SKILLS USA OHIO State Competition

BAUM recently provided two BAUM 714XLT tabletop folding machines for contestants to use as part of the Ohio state SKILLS USA Graphic Communications competition. This event was recently held at Fort Hayes Career Center in Columbus, OH on Saturday April 28^th. Jim Brandewie, Regional Sales Manager for BAUM provided technical support and also was one of the judges for the competition.

BAUM at DRUPA: 714XA Folder Displayed In POLAR Booth

The BAUM 714XA folder is just one of the many BAUM machines shown at DRUPA. The BAUM 714XA automated tabletop folder is shown in the POLAR booth in Hall 2, stand A01. Pictures in the photo is David Newman, Technical Support Specialist for BAUM. The BAUM 714XA being shown is to compliment an entire “digital” short run production cell in the POLAR booth that includes a new small format paper cutter, and a perfect binder.

BAUM holds Level 1 BaumPrint 18 Press Training School

BAUM recently held another Level 1 training school for select BAUM dealers that are authorized to sell and service the BaumPrint 18 press. Graphic Service and Equipment Attends BAUM Road Show Event

Jim Flaherty of Graphic Service and Equipment recently attended the ‘Road Show” event sponsored by Mitsubishi Imaging and BAUM. Both companies recently hosted a 3 day event that included two days of press operator training on the popular BaumPrint 18 small format automated press and incorporated the Mitsubishi Imaging model TDP and DPX plate making systems and a third day open house. The event was held at the Mitsubishi Imaging facility located in Rye, NY. Customers completed a comprehensive training program for one day that was taught by David Loyd, Press Specialist for BAUM and Mr. Eiji Miyoshi , Technical Manager for Mitsubishi Imaging. Graphic Service and Equipment is located at 425 Eastline Road in Ballston Spa, NY. They are an authorized dealer for the BaumPrint 18 press and all other BAUM finishing products.
