BAUM Prepares for GOA 2012 Show In Miami, Florida
BAUM is preparing for the upcoming Graphics of the Americas 2012 exhibition in Miami Beach, Florida. This year’s event will be held on March 1-3 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. BAUM will be showing our latest post press equipment in booth #623 and other applications in other boots on the show floor. Super Blue is standard on the BaumPrint18
The super blue anti marking cylinder is standard on the BaumPrint18 printing press. Why is the cylinder important? This is the delivery transfer point. Many presses have adjustable sprockets to help with this transfer but require you to move them with every job to minimize marking of the wet ink. With the standard Super Blue on the BaumPrint 18 you don’t have to move anything. The blue net on the cylinder moves with the wet ink to eliminate the marking issue completely. Again this is a standard item included with the BaumPrint 18 2-color offset press.

BAUM CF20 and DG Creaser Shown At PC Days In Leipzig
BAUM recently completed the showing of the NEW BAUM CF20 folder and DG Creaser to several customers at a post press commercial printing event held in Leipzig, Germany. The equipment was shown by the local BAUM authorized dealer, Binderhaus Gmbh. The event was held in late November to show many post press product offerings and updates to customers throughout Europe. The combination of the BAUM DG Creaser and the BAUM CF20 folder provides multiple creasing, perforating and folding solutions for digital and heavier weight stocks not found on traditional equipment.

Parts special for January now available
There are certain parts such as rubber tires, sheet detector tabs, pump filters, lube canisters, etc. that need to be replaced on a routine basis. Now is the time to tune-up your BAUM Table-top or Floor Model folder. Get those folders all set for the upcoming seasonal print jobs, get them tuned up and ready to go!
To help you maintain your folder we have tune-up kits configured for most of your BAUM Table-top and Floor model folders. Buying these kits can save you money when you compare them to the price of the individual parts.

Things to know about the Plus Package
The Plus Package is an option for the BaumPrint 18. It provides the parts that enable the press to perforate, slit and also accept the optional numbering unit. The Plus Package cannot be installed later in the field. The Plus package does not include the numbering unit and related parts to perform numbering these are sold separately. The Plus package does include the perforating capability it has the shaft installed in the press at the factory and a perforating holder and blade is included. The required impression cylinder jacket is also included. This steel jacket must be used when numbering and perforating. Please contact us for more information.

Holiday schedule for Baumfolder Factory

BAUM D3HD and D5 Drills Are Easy To Use
The BAUM D3HD and the D5 drills are very easy to setup and operate when compared to the other manufacturer’s paper drilling machines. The setup of the gear-driven drilling heads is so easy, you basically just need your hands and one simple hex key wrench to make adjustments. You can easily move the drill heads to different hole center locations by loosening the upper locking lever by hand. Then you can simply slide the head on the robust, precision machined, dovetail slide to the desired location for drilling.
The drill bits can be installed and removed without tools also by simply sliding the locking ring up to remove the retaining clip and sliding back over to capture the bit in the spindle. The only tools you need to complete any setup on the BAUM multiple spindle drills are a hex key wrench to adjust the depth setting for the drill bits and an open end wrench to remove the heads from the machine. Both tools are provided as standard equipment with each new BAUM D3HD or D5 drill.

BAUM was recently visited by Mr. Michael Neugart and Juergen Freier of the Polar-Mohr Company. Polar-Mohr is a leading manufacturer of paper cutting and transfer equipment to the graphic arts, label, packaging and related industries. BAUM and Polar-Mohr have been business partners for almost two decades and continue to strengthen the partnership. This partnership has produced the current high quality and popular BaumCut 26.4 and BaumCut 31.5 guillotine paper cutters and their related enhancements as part of the BAUM post press product line.
