BAUM to Hold West Coast Road Show in Northern California
BAUM will be conducting a West Coast Road Show on February 7, 8, 9, 10 with two BAUM dealers, K. Wilson Company and E.C. Graphic Supply. This event will be held at the K. Wilson and Company location of 189 Beacon Street, South San Francisco, California.
The event is scheduled to feature two days of press operator training on the BaumPrint 18 small format, two color, automated printing press. Training will be conducted by David Loyd, Press Specialist from the BAUM factory. Post press folder demonstrations will be conducted by Shack Fisher, Western Region Sales Manager for BAUM.
Another two days of the event will continue with demonstrations on the BaumPrint 18 press and on the BAUM 20 AutoSet pile feed floor model folder and the BAUM 714XA AutoFold small format folder. BAUM Now Offers Optional Carbide Tipped Cutter Knives
BAUM has recently added new Carbide Tipped guillotine knives to the options available for the BaumCut 26.4 and BaumCut 31.5 cutters. These knives are designed for specialty papers that can dull the cutting edge standard knives to provide increased amount of total cuts before sharpening is needed. These knives are optional on both model BaumCut cutters. The part number for the carbide tipped knife for the BaumCut 26.4 is 268-077-02-00 and the part number for the carbide tipped knife for the BaumCut 31.5 is: 268-706-02-00.

BAUM K20 Knife Folder Meets Many Applications
The heavy-duty BAUM K20 knife folder can perform many applications. The most common application for a compact, mobile knife folder is to be used a final folding station behind another buckle plate folding station. The BAUM K20 can be used as the final folding station and a lot more. The K20 knife folder is designed to also be placed and operated as an independent unit separate from a buckle folder. Placing the K20 knife folder behind a bookletmaker, stitcher and or trimmer can add these applications:
- 1. Folding stitched booklets in half perpendicular to the spine to reduce the flat size and mailing costs
- 2. Folding stitched booklets in half parallel to the spine, by adding the BAUM MIRT20 or MILT20 transfer to reduce flat size and mailing costs.
In addition to the applications above, you can also operate the BAUM K20 with an independent feeder to feed and fold bulky booklets or newspaper type inserts. These are just a few of the applications that the rugged BAUM K20 knife folder can handle.

BAUM 714XA Shown at Post Press Event In Leipzig
The 714XA automated tabletop folder was recently shown to several attendees representing several countries from all over the world at a post press commercial event held in early December in Leipzig, Germany. Employee service anniversaries for January

BAUM 714XA Takes The Charge!
The BAUM 714XA automated tabletop folder has many unique features that are not found on competitors machines. One of these exclusive features is the static charge dissipation feature. The BAUM 714XA folder has special static strings built into the machine as standard equipment to “Take the Charge” out of the paper going through the machine. One static string is located in the bottom of the feed table at the entry side of the process while a second static string is located at the exit end of the folder as the folded sheet leaves the exit shafts. Yes, the BAUM 714XA can “take the Charge”!
